Windy rains or Rainy winds!!!

It is fourth day in a row and it has been raining continuously…..the sub-urbs are clogged with water, local trains are disrupted and the memories of last year’s flood are at everyone’s top of the mind. You can listen people sharing their experiences of 26/7 and hoping that it doesn’t get repeated.

Rains are expected and awaited in monsoon. But there is more to Mumbai rains than sheer water. It is the winds (‘breeze’ would be too soft a word for that) accompanying the rain that make it special. Letting the umbrella dance with wind and still safeguarding yourself against the rains is surely an art that few people master. The novices, like me, happily manage to get drenched in spite of holding the umbrella. Though it gets bugging at times, it is fun too (especially on retrospection)!

Though as per the news around, heavy rains are still expected for next 12-16 hours, but things should be in order.

Whatever it is, you gotta experience the Mumbai rains to wonder if it is just windy rains or rather rainy winds….and yeah, don’t forget to carry the umbrella, it’s so much fun balancing it and still getting wet.
